Dr. Gabriela Montes is originally from Houston, Texas and she is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating in 2008. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science, she attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago where she received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree in 2013. Dr. Montes’s postgraduate training was at Loyola University Medical Center/Edward Hines Veterans Affairs Hospital where she completed a three year foot and ankle surgical residency program and served as the chief resident during her last year. Throughout her three year comprehensive surgical residency, she worked with other specialist in a extensive multidisciplinary medical approach to care for limb threatening illnesses and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Her special interest are sports medicine, bunion and hammertoe repair, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma and pediatrics. Dr. Montes is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Other than providing exceptional patient care, Dr. Montes enjoys spending time with her family, friends and truly enjoys going to concerts, salsa dancing, photography and charcoal painting. She resides in the west suburbs with her fiancé Alexander with their Wheaton Terrier dog named Bailey.
