Valley Medical Inn

Comfortable Private Suites, Attentive Care, Extended Visiting Hours and a Friendly Relaxed Atmosphere. While that’s not what you might expect the first few days following surgery, that’s exactly what you will find at Valley Medical Inn. Valley Medical Inn blends the comfort of a Bed & Breakfast with the safety and skill of a hospital. It provides a quality, low cost alternative for nursing and recovery care after major surgery.

What is Valley Medical Inn?
Valley Medical Inn is a Postsurgical Recovery Care Center for generally healthy patients who require up to 72 hours of nursing care, pain management or observation services. It allows for more complex surgical procedures which usually require a costly two to three day stay at the hospital to be performed in an outpatient setting at the adjacent Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center. Surgical procedures include: hysterectomy, thyroidectomy, appendectomy, gall bladder surgery, inguinal hernia repair, various plastic surgeries, anterior cervical diskectomy, laminectomy with decompression and total knee replacement, just to name a few.

Medical Care
All patients are under the professional care of a member of the medical staff. The Medical Director is responsible for establishing and assuring compliance of standards of care for patients. Physicians make rounds just as those physicians at traditional hospitals. A qualified physician is on call at all times. The nursing staff is entirely made up of Registered Nurses with at least five years of acute care experience. The nurse patient ratio never exceeds 1:3.

Quality
Valley Medical Inn is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. and is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health in accordance with the Alternative Health Care Delivery Act.

Valley Medical Inn has also achieved accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation's health care through voluntary accreditation. Achieving accreditation demonstrates Valley Medical Inn's commitment to provide high quality care to its patients.

Flexibility
Because we provide services to generally healthy patients, we are able to give medical care that is more flexible, with fewer restrictions, and more focused to your individual needs. Our professional and caring staff recognizes the importance of family and supportive people in the healing process.

Insurance
Valley Medical Inn is recognized by many insurance companies and health plans, including HMO, PPO & POS (Point-of-Service) products. We are constantly working to add new insurance contracts to meet the needs of our patients. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your insurance and billing inquiries.
